Conditions:

Room Temp: 25.0 °C

Compiler:

A.L. Horvath

Methodology:

The solute was equilibrated with water by stirring in a sealed flask [1] with a magnetic stirrer for 48 hours at constant temperature. A sample was withdrawn and filtered through a glass-wool plug and the solute was extracted with 2,2,4-trimethylpentene. The optical densities were determined spectrophotometrically [2]. The mean and standard deviation were obtained from eight independent measurements.

Sample Information:
  1. Merck AG., >99% GLC, used as received.
  2. Distilled, deionized, and degassed.
Measurement Errors:

Ambient temperature: ±0.05 K.
Mass concentration (m/v) (1): ±1.51%.
