Volume 72. Nitromethane with Water or Organic Solvents: Ternary and Quaternary Systems, p 1532

Source Publication

Gudkina, L. V.; Ph.D. Dissertation, Novosibirsk Institute of Inorganic Chemistry, Russia, 1975.

Conditions:

Room Temp: 311 - 318 $\pu{K}$

Compiler:

V.P. Sazonov

Methodology:

The synthetic method (Alekseev [1]) was used. Mixtures of (1), (2) and (3) of total mass 10 g were heated with vigorous stirring to a temperature higher than the homogenization temperature, then slowly cooled until turbidity appeared. Heating and cooling cycles were repeated twice. Temperature values obtained for appearing and disappearing turbidity were averaged.

Sample Information:
  1. Source not specified; pure grade reagent; dried and twice distilled in a glass packed column.
  2. Source not specified; pure grade reagent; dried and twice distilled in a glass packed column.
  3. Analytical purity; dried and twice distilled under vacuum; 0.03 mass% water by the Karl Fischer analysis.
Measurement Errors:

Ambient temperature: ±0.01 K.
