Conditions:

Room Temp: 303 $\pu{K}$

Compiler:

A.L. Horvath

Methodology:

An excess of 1-bromobutane in 500 g water was shaken for 12 hours in a waterbath thermostat. Samples were then withdrawn and read against pure water in an interferometer made by Zeiss [1]. A detailed description of the complete procedure is given in a Ph.D. thesis [2].

Sample Information:
  1. Eastman Kodak Company. Purified by fractional distillation before use.
  2. distilled.
Measurement Errors:

Ambient temperature: ±0.02 K.
Mass concentration (m/v) (1): ±1.5%.
