Conditions:

Room Temp: 25 °C

Compiler:

A. Maczynski

Methodology:

The solubility of (1) in (2) was determined by glc. A Czech-made Chrom-2 chromatograph was used, equipped with a 5% Apiezon L/Chromosorb G column operated at 90-140 °C.

Sample Information:
  1. Described in [1].
  2. distilled
Measurement Errors:

Ambient temperature: ±1°C

  2. Water, $\ce{ H2O }$; [7732-18-5] NIST WebBook
Experimental Data

The solubility of 1-phenylhexane in water at 25°C was reported to be 0.0021 mg(1) cm-3 sln.
The corresponding mass percent and mole fraction, x1, calculated by the compiler are 0.00021 g(1)/100 g sln and 2.4 × 10-7. The assumption that 1.00 L sln = 1.00 kg sln was used in the calculation.
