Conditions:
Room Temp: 25 °C

Methodology:
The solubility of (1) in (2) was determined by shaking small amounts of (1) in 1 L of (2) for as long as three months. Aliquots were removed and concentrations determined by spectrophotometry.

- Water, $\ce{ H2O }$; [7732-18-5] NIST WebBook
Experimental Data
The solubility of benzene in water at 25°C was reported to be 1.86 g(1) dm-3 sln and 0.0239 mol (1) dm-3 sln.
The corresponding mass percent and mole fraction, x1, calculated by the compiler are 0.186 g(1)/100 g sln and 4.31 × 10-4.
The assumption that 1.00 dm3 sln = 1.00 kg sln wsa used in this calculation.
