Method/Apparatus/Procedure:
Tritiated water was shaken with bromobenzene in 1:10 volume ratios for 4 hours in a flask in a water thermostat bath. The water content was determined by tritium assay. The count rates were determined using a typical liquid scintillator solution technique.
Source and Purity of Materials:
- Tritiated.
- Source not known, laboratory grade, dried over CaC $\ce{I2}$ and fractionally distilled before use.
Estimated Errors:
Ambient temperature: ±0.5 K (compiler).
Mass concentration (m/v) (1): ±5%.
Components:
- Chlorobenzene, $\ce{ C6H5C1 }$; [108-90-7] NIST WebBook
- Water, $\ce{ H2O }$; [7732-18-5] NIST WebBook
