Conditions:

Room Temp: 313 and 323 $\pu{K}$

Compiler:

Methodology:

The titration method was used. Component (1) was added from a burette to a known amount of (2) until the mixture became turbid. The upper face of an equilibrium vessel which was polished flat and fitted with a lid and Teflon O-ring held tightly by six bolts. The lid contained two feed tubes to introduce the second component, two sampling tubes, a thermistor and a pressure measuring tube connected to a mercury manometer. Nitrogen gas was used to pressurize the lower sampling tube, so that the mixture could not enter into its during the mixing process. During titration, the samples were maintained at a desired temperature by means of a water thermostat.
