Volume 73. Metal and Ammonium Formate Systems, p None

Original Measurements

Chaplygina, N. M.; Itkina, L. S.; Russ. J. Inorg. Chem. 29, 1518-9 (1984).

Variables:

Room Temp: Composition at 100 °C

Prepared by:

St. Trendafilova, Chr. Balarew

Method/Apparatus/Procedure:

The isothermal method was used. The mixtures were equilibrated in a furnace for two weeks. Phase separation was carried out in the furnace by centrifugation through a silver filter. The lithium content of both phases was determined by flame photometry. The aluminum content was determined complexometrically. The composition of the solid phases was determined by Schreinemakers' method, by IR spectroscopy, DT analysis and X-ray diffraction.

Source and Purity of Materials:
  1. Aluminum formate was prepared as described earlier [1], and so was lithium formate [2].
Estimated Errors:

Ambient temperature: No information is given.
Mass concentration (m/v) (1): No information is given.
