Volume 73. Metal and Ammonium Formate Systems, p None

Original Measurements

Calame, P.; Z. Phys. Chem. 27U, 401 (1898).

Variables:

Room Temp: -2.230 - -0.315 °C

Prepared by:

Chr. Balarew

Method/Apparatus/Procedure:

Freezing point determinations were made with a Beckmann apparatus having a thermometer graduated in 0.01 °C. The barium content was determined gravimetrically.

Source and Purity of Materials:
  1. Kahlbaum or Merck reagents were used.
Estimated Errors:

Ambient temperature: ±0.01°C.

Components:
  1. Barium formate, $\ce{ Ba(CHO2)2 }$; [541-43-5] NIST WebBook
  2. Water, $\ce{ H2O }$; [7732-18-5] NIST WebBook
