Variables:
Room Temp: -4.9 - 31.8 °C

Method/Apparatus/Procedure:
The only information given is that the solubility values were measured by the freezing point method.
Source and Purity of Materials:
- The barium salt was prepared by dissolving a pure sample of the carbonate in 90% formic acid. The salt obtained was recrystallized three times from water and dried to constant weight at 413 K; purity is not specified. The formic acid was prepared by treating a CP product with $\ce{B2O3}$. It was then distilled in vacuo until a product melting above $\pu{281.6 K}$ was obtained.
Estimated Errors:
Ambient temperature: Nothing is specified.
Components:
- Barium formate, $\ce{ Ba(CHO2)2 }$; [541-43-5] NIST WebBook
- Formic acid, $\ce{ CH2O2 }$; [64-18-6] NIST WebBook
