Volume 73. Metal and Ammonium Formate Systems, p None

Source Publication

Stoilova, D.; Bulg. Chem. Commun. 25, 249-57 (1992).

Conditions:

Room Temp: Composition at 25 °C

Compilers:

St. Trendafilova, Chr. Balarew

Methodology:

The method used was the isothermal decrease of supersaturation. Equilibrium was reached in 10-15 h. The strontium content was determined complexometrically. The chloride ion content was determined volumetrically by the Mohr method. The strontium formate concentration was estimated by difference. The composition of the ideally suction-dried solid phase was determined by the Schreinemakers method. X-ray diffraction and DT analysis were also used.

Sample Information:
  1. The strontium chloride was p.a. grade (Merck). The strontium formate was prepared by the reaction of dilute formic acid with strontium oxide, carbonate or hydroxide all of which were p.a. grade (Merck or Fluka).
Measurement Errors:

Ambient temperature: No information is given.
Mass concentration (m/v) (1): No information is given.

(a) The molality values were calculated by the compilers.

(b) The solid phases are: A = Sr(CHO2)2·2H2O; B = SrCl2·6H2O.
