Volume 73. Metal and Ammonium Formate Systems, p None

Original Measurements

Itkina, L. S.; Masitov, R. K.; Portnova, S. M.; Zh. Neorg. Khim. 22, 803-8 (1977).

Variables:

Room Temp: Composition at 25 °C

Prepared by:

St. Trendafilova, Chr. Balarew

Method/Apparatus/Procedure:

The isothermal method was used. Seven days were allowed for equilibration. The lithium content of both phases was determined iodometrically, the OH content was determined by titration with $\ce{HClO4}$ in an ethylene glycol medium. The content of $\ce{LiCHO2}$ was determined by difference. The composition of the solid phases was determined by Schreinemakers' method and controlled crystallo-optically, and by IR spectroscopy.

(b) The solid phases are: A = LiCHO2·H2O; B = solid solutions in LiOH·H2O; and C = LiOH·H2O.

(a) These values were calculated by the compilers.
