Conditions:

Room Temp: 264 - 358 $\pu{K}$

Compiler:

V.P. Sazonov

Methodology:

Two methods were used. The solubility temperatures of the liquid phases were determined by the synthetic method (Alekseev [1]) The analytical method described in Nikurashina and Mertslin [2] was used for determining equilibrium liquid phase compositions. Samples from coexisting liquid phases at equilibrium were analyzed by refractometry. No experimental details given.

Sample Information:
  1. Source not specified; purity not specified; $n_{D}^{20}$ = 1.3820, $d_{4}^{20}$ = 1.1320.
  2. Source not specified, purity not specified; $n_{D}^{15}$ = 1.4085, $d_{4}^{15}$ = 0.8129
(recorded as 1.8129 in paper - corrected by compiler)
  3. Twice distilled.
Measurement Errors:

Ambient temperature: Not specified.

Experimental Data

The solubility temperatures of the liquid phases were determined in ternary mixtures with a constant mass relationship of (1) and (2) as 10.0:90.0, 20.0:80.0, 30.0:70.0, 40.0:60.0, 50.0:50.0, 60.0:40.0, 69.3:30.7, 85.0:15.0, 90.0:10.0, 91.0:9.0, 92.5:7.5, 95.0:5.0 and 97.5:2.5, respectively.
The compositions of coexistent two and three liquid phases at 0°C, 5°C, 7°C, and 40°C are also reported in graphical form.
