Volume 70. Solubility of Gases in Glassy Polymers, p None

Original Measurements

Yoshida, T.; Takizawa, A.; Ysujita, Y.; J. Appl. Polym. Sci. 22, 279 (1978).

Variables:

Room Temp: 293 - 308 $\pu{K}$
Pressure: 6.6 - 52.5 $\pu{kPa}$

Prepared by:

Yu.P. Yampol'skii

Method/Apparatus/Procedure:

Cahn electrobalance was used to measure sorption. Corresponding state principle was applied for calculation of fugacity ratio [1,2].

Source and Purity of Materials:
  1. Xe: purity 99.99%. PELG: Ajinimoto K. K.; viscosity average degree of polymerization about 1150.
Estimated Errors:

Ambient temperature: Precision in T ±0.5 K.
Mass concentration (m/v) (1): Weight determination accuracy: ±10 mg for 50-100 mg samples.
