Method/Apparatus/Procedure:
Measurements of the solubility were made using a pressure decay method. The apparatus was similar to one designed by Koros [1]. Pressure was measured by a semiconductor sensor PX-1A (Tsukasu Sokken). The correction for compressibility of gas phase was introduced.
Source and Purity of Materials:
- PVA (Aldrich Chemical Co) had "viscosity" average molecular weight 158,000 and $T{\rm{g}}$ = 303 K. The purity of carbon dioxide (Chugoku Teisan) was 99.9%.
