Volume 68. Halogenated Aliphatic Compounds C3-C14 with Water, p 676

Original Measurements

Wright, W. H.; Schaffer, J. M.; Am. J. Hygiene 16, 325 (1932).

Variables:

Temperature: 298 K

Prepared by:

A.L. Horvath

Method/Apparatus/Procedure:

The solubility was determined by mixing definite quantities of 1,2,3-trichloropropane with a large volume of water and then measuring the volume of the undissolved portion of 1,2,3-trichloropropane.

Source and Purity of Materials:
  1. Commercial grade, further purified by washing with NaHCO3 solution and redistilled.
  2. distilled.
