Method/Apparatus/Procedure:

The solubility of hexacosafluorododecane in water was determined through the use of precision tensiometric measurements for aqueous solutions of perfluorononane acid on its interface with perfluorodecalin at 293 K. The measurements served as a basis for evaluation of the increment of the standard chemical potential for the transition of a perfluoromethylene group from the water phase into a perfluoroorganic liquid phase.
