Volume 68. Halogenated Aliphatic Compounds C3-C14 with Water, p None
Source Publication
Conditions:
Room Temp: 298 $\pu{K}$
Compiler:
Methodology:
A saturated aqueous solution was prepared by passing of water through a column which was packed with glass beads coated with 1-bromopentane. The saturated solution was then pumped through an extractor column and 1-bromopentane was extracted directly into an analytical column. The samples were analyzed with a liquid chromatograph equipped with both an UV absorbance and a fluorescence detector with excitation filters. The peak area was established using a Hewlett-Packard recorder.
Sample Information:
- Eastman Kodak Company, commercial quality, used as received.
- Double distilled.
Measurement Errors:
Ambient temperature: ±1 K (compiler).
Mass concentration (m/v) (1): Not specified.
System Components:
- 1-Bromopentane, $\ce{ C5H11Br }$; [110-53-2] NIST WebBook
- Water, $\ce{ H2O }$; [7732-18-5] NIST WebBook
