Conditions:
Room Temp: 289 $\pu{K}$
Compiler:
Methodology:
1-Bromobutane was added gradually from a pipette to 100 mL water in a sample container with continuous stirring and shaking in an oil bath. The appearance of the first cloud (turbidity) indicated the saturation of the solution. The solubility was calculated from the volume of the 1-bromobutane added to a known quantity of water present.
Sample Information:
- E. Merck, Darmstadt, further purified before use.
- Distiller (compiler).
Measurement Errors:
Ambient temperature: ±0.5 K (compiler).
Mass concentration (m/v) (1): Not specified.
System Components:
- 1-Bromobutane, $\ce{ C4H9Br }$; [109-65-9] NIST WebBook
- Water, $\ce{ H2O }$; [7732-18-5] NIST WebBook
