Volume 68. Halogenated Aliphatic Compounds C3-C14 with Water, p None

Original Measurements

Bauduin, G.; Bondon, D.; Gonzales-Moran, J.; Pietrasanta, Y.; Analusis 13, 124-7 (1985).

Variables:

Room Temp: 291 $\pu{K}$

Prepared by:

A.L. Horvath

Method/Apparatus/Procedure:

The solubility of cis-,trans-1,4- dichlorobutene was determined in three different aqueous solution types: deionized water and artificial and Mediterranean seawaters. The saturated solutions were prepared under vigorous agitation from four to five hours. After filtration, samples of the homogeneous aqueous phase were analyzed using gas chromatography. Further details on the analytical method are given elsewhere [1].

Source and Purity of Materials:
  1. Source and purity not given.
  2. Source and purity not given.
Estimated Errors:

Ambient temperature: ±1.0 K (compiler).
Mass concentration (m/v) (1): See above.
