Volume 68. Halogenated Aliphatic Compounds C3-C14 with Water, p None

Original Measurements

Oliver, B. G.; Chemosphere 14, 1087-106 (1985).

Variables:

Room Temp: 293 $\pu{K}$

Prepared by:

A.L. Horvath

Method/Apparatus/Procedure:

A gaseous purge system was used for the measurements. The apparatus consisted of a jacketed container which was thermostated in a water bath. The experiment was performed in the stripping apparatus by introducing 0.5 mL of an acetone solution of 1,1,2,3,4,4-hexachloro-1,3-butadiene into one L water. The Henry’s law constant was determined from the ratio of the concentration in the gas stream to concentration in the water.

Source and Purity of Materials:
  1. Source and purity not given.
  2. distilled.
Estimated Errors:

Ambient temperature: ±0.1 K.
Mass concentration (m/v) (1): Not specified.
