Method/Apparatus/Procedure:
The mutual solubility between water and 1,2-dichloroethane was determined by titration from a microburet until turbidity appeared. The end point of the titration, when turbidity first appeared, was determined with an accuracy of 0.3-0.5 %. The titration of the solution took place in a thermostat bath at 20 °C. The caprolactam-water-dichloroethane ternary system was also reported. The original paper was published in Russian [1].
Source and Purity of Materials:
- Source and purity not given.
- Distilled.
Estimated Errors:
Ambient temperature: ±0.5 K (compiler).
Mass concentration (m/v) (1): Not specified.
