Method/Apparatus/Procedure:
A volumetric method similar to that introduced by Alexejew was used. 1,2-Dichloroethane was gradually added to water from a pipet under constant agitation. The appearance of clouding was the indication of saturation.
Source and Purity of Materials:
- Schuchard, Görlitz, used as received.
- Distilled (compiler).
Estimated Errors:
Ambient temperature: ±2 K (compiler).
Mass concentration (m/v) (1): Not specified.
Components:
- 1,2-Dichloroethane, $\ce{ C2H4Cl2 }$; [107-06-2] NIST WebBook
- Water, $\ce{ H2O }$; [7732-18-5] NIST WebBook
