Conditions:

Room Temp: 283 - 308 $\pu{K}$

Compiler:

Methodology:

A modification of the EPICS procedure was used for measuring Henry's law constants. A precise quantity of cis-1,2-dichloroethene was injected into serum bottles which contained distilled water. The bottles were incubated for 18-24 hours at four desired temperatures in a reciprocating shaker bath. The headspace concentrations of the EPICS bottles were measured by a gas chromatograph which was equipped with a flame ionization detector. The mean of the coefficient of variation values wasabout 4.3%.

Sample Information:
  1. Aldrich Chemical Co., 97% pure.
  2. Distilled.
Measurement Errors:

Ambient temperature: ±0.1 K.
Mass concentration (m/v) (1): See table above.
