Volume 67. Halogenated Ethanes and Ethenes with Water, p 491

Source Publication

Conditions:

Room Temp: 310 $\pu{K}$

Compiler:

A.L. Horvath

Methodology:

A cis-1,2-dichloroethene vapor sample was equilibrated in an airtight vial between water and the overlying air. When equilibrium was reached, a portion of the equilibrated air in the vessel was withdrawn using an airtight syringe and then injected into a gas chromatograph and analyzed. The signal peak height on the chromatogram was used to calculate the partition coefficient.

Sample Information:
  1. Source and purity not given.
  2. Distilled.
Measurement Errors:

Ambient temperature: ±0.5 K (compiler).
Mass concentration (m/v) (1): ±0.4 std. dev.
