Conditions:

Room Temp: 298 $\pu{K}$

Compiler:

A.L. Horvath

Methodology:

The solubility was determined by mixing definite quantities of pentachloroethane with a large volume of water and measuring the volume of the undissolved pentachloroethane.

Sample Information:
  1. Commercial grade, further purified by washing with $\ce{NaHCO3}$ solution and then redistilled.
  2. Distilled.
Measurement Errors:

Ambient temperature: ±0.5 K (compiler).
Mass concentration (m/v) (1): Not specified.

System Components:
  1. Pentachloroethane, $\ce{ C2HCl5 }$; [76-01-7] NIST WebBook
  2. Water, $\ce{ H2O }$; [7732-18-5] NIST WebBook
