Conditions:
Room Temp:
268.15 - 298.15
$\pu{K}$
Pressure:
0.101 - 4.560
$\pu{MPa}$

Methodology:
Rocking equilibrium cell fitted with Bourdon-type pressure gauges. Carbon dioxide gas admitted to cell containing sea water. After equilibrium established samples of liquid withdrawn and analyzed by stripping out carbon dioxide, absorbing in excess barium hydroxide and back-titrating.
Sample Information:
- Matheson research grade, purity 99.99 mole%.
- Degassed
Measurement Errors:
Ambient temperature: δT/K = ±0.06
Mass concentration (m/v) (1): δ(102m1/m2) = ±1%
Pressure: δP/kPa = ±2 below 3.6 MPa, ±3.4 above 3.6 Mpa
System Components:
- Carbon dioxide, $\ce{ CO2 }$; [124-38-9] NIST WebBook
- Seawater, $\ce{ H2O }$; [7732-18-5(C)] NIST WebBook
