Original Measurements

Li, Y. -H.; Tsui, T. -F.; J. Geophys. Res. 1971, 76, 4203-7.

Variables:

Room Temp: 273.85 - 303.15 $\pu{K}$
Pressure: 101.325 $\pu{kPa}$

Prepared by:

R. Crovetto

Method/Apparatus/Procedure:

Equilibration was achieved by bubbling gas through thermostatted water overnight.
A liquid sample was analyzed for $\ce{CO2}$ using an IR technique.

Source and Purity of Materials:
  1. Pure, $\pu{99.99 \pm 0.01\%}$.
  2. Distilled.
Estimated Errors:

Ambient temperature: Temperature controlled to ±0.02 K.
Pressure: δP/mmHg = ±0.005 (by authors)

Components:
  1. Carbon dioxide, $\ce{ CO2 }$; [124-38-9] NIST WebBook
  2. Water, $\ce{ H2O }$; [7732-18-5] NIST WebBook
