Volume 62. Carbon Dioxide in Water and Aqueous Electrolyte Solutions, p None

Source Publication

Barton, J. R.; Hsu, C. C.; J. Chem. Eng. Data 1971, 16, 93-5.

Conditions:

Room Temp: 273.35 - 313.15 $\pu{K}$
Pressure: 101.325 $\pu{kPa}$

Compiler:

P. Scharlin

Methodology:

The Ostwald type apparatus used in the measurements was based on the original design of Markham and Kobe [1] but also included the modifications suggested by Yeh and McKetta [2].

Sample Information:
  1. Matheson Co. The Coleman grade $\ce{CO2}$. Minimum purity of 99.99%.
  2. Distilled. Refractive index of 1.3332 at 19.5°C.
Measurement Errors:

Ambient temperature: δT/K = ±0.05; The maximum error in determination of a gas volume was estimated to be ±0.05%.
Mass concentration (m/v) (1): δα/α = ±0.18% at 0.2°C
±0.13% at 25°C
±0.38% at 40°C
