Volume 62. Carbon Dioxide in Water and Aqueous Electrolyte Solutions, p None

Source Publication

Ellis, A. J.; Golding, R. M.; Am. J. Sci. 1963, 261, 47-60.

Conditions:

Room Temp: 450.15 - 607.15 $\pu{K}$
Pressure: 1.59 - 7.65 $\pu{MPa}$

Compiler:

R. Crovetto

Methodology:

A static all-metal high-pressure autoclave was used. There was no stirring. Long equilibration times were used. The amounts of water and carbon dioxide in the liquid sample were determined by weighing. The $\ce{H2O}$ was absorbed by anhydrone and the $\ce{CO2}$ in Carbosorb.

Sample Information:
  1. Not stated.
  2. Degassed.
Measurement Errors:

Ambient temperature: Not given.

System Components:
  1. Carbon dioxide, $\ce{ CO2 }$; [124-38-9] NIST WebBook
  2. Water, $\ce{ H2O }$; [7732-18-5] NIST WebBook

(a) Calculated by the compiler.

(b) S = n1/mol divided by n2/mol. (Mole ratio or CO2 and water.)
