Volume 62. Carbon Dioxide in Water and Aqueous Electrolyte Solutions, p None

Original Measurements

Eremina, A. O.; Efanov, L. N.; Sorokina, N. A.; Russ. J. Phys. Chem. 1989, 63, 1361-63.

Variables:

Room Temp: 298.15 and 313.15 $\pu{K}$
Pressure: 0.1 $\pu{MPa}$
Amount concentration (2): 103C2/mol L-1 = 0 - 50 g/L

Prepared by:

Yu.P. Yampol'skii

Method/Apparatus/Procedure:

Attainment of the equilibrium was checked by the constancy of $\ce{CO2}$ content in 3-5 subsequent samples of gas after saturation of the solution. The concentration of carbon dioxide was determined by titration. Detailed description of the technique is given in [1].

Source and Purity of Materials:
  1. Source not given. Before contacting with water solutions $\ce{CO2}$ was allowed to pass through the vessels with $\ce{NaHCO3}$, glass beads, glass wool, and distilled water.
  2. Nothing specified.
  3. Distilled.
Estimated Errors:

Ambient temperature: δT/K = ±0.05
Mass concentration (m/v) (1): δc1/c1 = ±0.06-0.2%
