Original Measurements

Prosyanov, N. N.; Shalygin, V. A.; Zel'venskii, Ya. D.; Tr. Mosk. Khim. Tekhnol. Inst. 1973, 100.

Variables:

Room Temp: 298 - 373 $\pu{K}$

Prepared by:

A.L. Horvath

Method/Apparatus/Procedure:

The distribution coefficient was determined by distillation. An inert gas was used to take samples from the vapor phase at equilibrium. The concentration of dichloromethane in both liquid and vapor phases was determined by using $\ce{^{36}Cl}$ labeled compound.

Source and Purity of Materials:
  1. Source and purity not given.
  2. Distilled (compiler).
Estimated Errors:

Ambient temperature: ±0.5 K (compiler).
Mass concentration (m/v) (1): Not specified.

Components:
  1. Dichloromethane, $\ce{ CH2Cl2 }$; [75-09-2] NIST WebBook
  2. Water, $\ce{ H2O }$; [7732-18-5] NIST WebBook
