Variables:

Room Temp: 293 - 323 $\pu{K}$

Prepared by:

Method/Apparatus/Procedure:

A differential static cell equilibrium apparatus was used to measure the infinite dilution activity coefficient for dibromomethane ($\gamma^{\infty}$) in water. Degassed water cells were submerged in a thermostated water bath. Dibromomethane was injected into a mixture cell, a magnetic stirrer was turned on, and the cells were allowed to equilibrate. The stirrer was then turned off and the differential pressure was recorded. The experiment was repeated at least three times at each temperature.
