Methodology:
An excess of dibromomethane in 50 g water was shaken for 12 hours in a thermostat bath. Samples were then withdrawn and read against water in an interferometer made by Zeiss [1]. A detailed description of the complete procedure is given in a Ph.D. the thesis [2].
Sample Information:
- Eastman Kodak Co., purified by fractionation through a Hempel column before use.
- distilled.
Measurement Errors:
Ambient temperature: ±0.02 K.
Mass concentration (m/v) (1): ±0.5%.
