Methodology:
An excess of tribromomethane in 500 g water was shaken for 12 hours in a thermostat bath. Samples were then withdrawn and read against water in the interferometer made by Zeiss [1]. A detailed description of the complete procedure is given in a Ph.D. thesis [2].
Sample Information:
- Eastman Kodak Co., further purified by fractional freezing before use.
- distilled.
Measurement Errors:
Ambient temperature: ±0.02 K.
Mass concentration (m/v) (1): ±1.5%.
