Author reports formation of a 1:1 pyrene - 3-methyl-2,4,6-trinitrophenol reddish-brown compound having a melting point of 436.2 K. Two eutectic points occur at x1 = 0.075 and T/K = 374.2, and at x1 = 0.848 and T/K = 408.2.
