Author reports formation of a 1:1 pyrene - 1,2,3,5-tetranitrobenzene dark red molecular compound having a melting point temperature of 441.7 K. Two eutectic points occur at x1 = 0.085 and T/K = 395.2, and at x1 = 0.810 and T/K = 398.2.
