Methodology:
Samples were equilibrated in an apparatus similar to the one used by Ott and co-workers [1]. Temperature of the sample monitored with an Omega RTD probe inside a stainless steel tube that went down through the center of the pyrex tube. Samples heated above their melting point temperature, and time-temperature cooling curves were measured.
Sample Information:
- 99.5%, Aldrich Chemical Company, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA, was recrystallized before use.
- 99.5%, Aldrich Chemical Company, was recrystallized before use.
Measurement Errors:
Ambient temperature: T/K: ±precision 0.5. x1: ±0.005 (compiler).
