Variables:

Room Temp: 25 °C

Prepared by:

A.L. Horvath

Method/Apparatus/Procedure:

A small excess of 1,3-dibromobenzene in water was agitated at room temperature for a period of about 24 hours and then filtered. The saturated filtrate solution was diluted and assayed spectrophotometrically. Two independent determinations were carried out.

Source and Purity of Materials:
  1. Aldrich commercial grade, used as received.
  2. Deionized.
Estimated Errors:

Ambient temperature: ±1 K.
Mass concentration (m/v) (1): ±10%.
