Original Measurements

Scrivens, W. A.; Tour, J. M.; J. Chem. Soc.; Chem. Commun. 1993, 1207-1209.

Variables:

Room Temp: 295 $\pu{K}$

Prepared by:

W.E. Acree, Jr.

Method/Apparatus/Procedure:

Analytical balance and centrifuge. Excess solute and solvent allowed to equilibrate in a room temperature bath for 30 minutes. Solution centrifuged for about 5 minutes and filtered through a 0.45 µm HPLC syringe filtered. Three 1.0 mls were removed and placed in tared vials, which were then placed in a heated oil bath to facilitate solvent evaporation. Concentrations determined gravimetrically from the weight of the solid residue.

Source and Purity of Materials:
  1. Purity and chemical source were not given in the paper.
  2. Purity and chemical source were not given in the paper.
Estimated Errors:

Ambient temperature: T/K: ±3 (Compiler).
Mass concentration (m/v) (1): c1: ±0.0007 mol dm-3.
