SDS Volume (1320)

Volume 57. Ethene, p None

Original Measurements

Sada, E.; Kumazawa, H.; Butt, M. A.; J. Chem. Eng. Data 1977, 22, 277-278.

Variables:

Room Temp: 298.15 $\pu{K}$
Pressure: 101.3 $\pu{kPa}$

Prepared by:

C.L. Young

Method/Apparatus/Procedure:

Equilibrium established between measured volume of gas and a measured amount of gas-free liquid in a cell fitted with a magnetic stirrer. Amount of gas absorbed estimated from change in volume of gas. Concentration of amine determined by titration. Details in source and [1].

Source and Purity of Materials:
  1. Commercial sample, minimum purity 99.6 mole%.
  2. Reagent grade of guaranteed quality.
  3. Distilled and degassed.
Estimated Errors:

Ambient temperature: δT/K = ±0.2 (estimated by the compiler)
Mass concentration (m/v) (1): δα = ±2% (estimated by compiler)
