Conditions:

Room Temp: 323.15 - 423.15 $\pu{K}$
Pressure: 1.013 - 11.73 $\pu{MPa}$

Compiler:

W. Hayduk

Methodology:

Experiments are described in [1]. A steel vessel was used along with a heating block, thermostat and pressure gauge for measuring the P - T - x data. Approximate Henry's constants and ethene solubilities, corresponding to a gas partial pressure of 101.3 kPa were calculated by the compiler for pressures to 2.9 MPa at 50 °C, and 5.0 MPa at 100 °C and 150 °C.

At 50 °C: H = 1900 atm; $x_{1}$ = 0.00053
At 100 °C: H = 408.5 atm; $x_{1}$ = 0.0029
At 150 °C: H = 272 atm; $x_{1}$ = 0.0037

Sample Information:
  1. Ethene. Source and purity not specified.
  2. Bromochloromethane. Source and purity not specified. Densities and vapor pressures given in paper. Approximate equation for vapor pressures (compiler) based on data given: $\log (P/\pu{atm}) = 4.4726 - 1521.3/(T/\pu{K}$)
Measurement Errors:

Ambient temperature: δT/K = ±0.1 (authors)
Mass concentration (m/v) (1): δx1/x1 = ±2% (compiler)
