  <title>Solubility of water in benzene</title>
 </dataset>
 <keywords>Solubility, Solubility data series</keywords>
 <method>In a thermostatted glass stoppered flask 10-25 mL (1) was shaken for min four hours. with tritiated water (a few mL of $\ce{HTO}$ equivalent to ca. 2 mCi/mL) and decanted. A 5-mL aliquot was re-shaken for four hours. with 5 mL $\ce{H2O}$ in a 10 mL flask, sampled and assayed with a Nuclear Enterprises type 8301 liquid scintillation counter. The two-stage process eliminates quenching effects (due to solvent) on the scintillator.</method>
