 <method>The apparatus consisted of a high pressure piston pump, Bourdon pressure gauges, a stainless steel capillary tube equilibrium cell 4.7 mm in inside diameter, a tubular storage chamber for the gas, as well as an associated temperature sensing element, sampling probes and valves. The apparatus was mounted in a constant temperature chamber. The equilibrium cell was charged with a known quantity of solvent by rotating it to a horizontal position. The quantity of gas was determined by material balance and the PV relation in the gas supply tube.</method>
