<method>The equilibrium between tetrachloromethane and water took place in a well-stirred water bath. The experimental samples were allowed to equilibrate for two or more days. Water analyses were made with a Beckman Aquameter using a Karl Fischer reagent. The solubility of tetrachloromethane in water was measured by using a vapor pressure measuring device. Full details are available in the thesis.</method>
