<method>An about 1 to 5 ratio of water/tetrachloromethane mixture was rotated in a thermostat for 12 hours. After the equilibrium was attained, samples were taken and filtered through cottonwool. The determination of the water content was based upon the reaction witha-naphthoxydichlorophosphine. The evolved $\ce{HCl}$ was absorbed in water and titrated with $\ce{NaOH}$ solution [1]. Two to three successive determinations were carried out with the tetrachloromethane.</method>
