The condensate in a closed vessel was mixed and allowed to stand until the two layers became quite clear. Samples were taken from the saturated chloroethane layer and a weighed amount distilled through tubes containing $\\ce{CaCl2}$ and $\\ce{P2O5}$. The amount of water trapped in the drying tubes gave the water solubility in chloroethane.", "dataset": [{"series": 1, "points": [{"pntnum": 1, "conditions": [{"property": "Ambient temperature", "number": "1.1e+01", "significand": "1.1", "exponent": "1", "sigfigs": "2", "unit": "°C"}], "data": [{"property": "Percent mass fraction (1)", "number": "2e-01", "significand": "2", "exponent": "-1", "sigfigs": "1", "unit": "1"}], "supplemental": [{"property": "Mole fraction - Liquid (1)", "number": "7.12e-03", "significand": "7.12", "exponent": "-3", "sigfigs": "3", "unit": "1"}, {"property": "Mole (1) per 100 gram", "number": "1.1e-04", "significand": "1.1", "exponent": "-4", "sigfigs": "2", "unit": "mol/g"}]}]}]}}
