<method>Iodoethane was added gradually from a pipette to 100 mL water in a sample container with continuous stirring and shaking in an oil bath. The appearance of the first cloud (turbidity) indicated the saturation of the solution. The solubility was calculated from the volume of the iodoethane added to a known quantity of water present.</method>
