The general procedure was to add an excess quantity of 1,1-dichloroethene to distilled deionized water, place the sample in a thermostat bath, and provide overnight mixing. A portion of this solution was returned to the stripping vessel. The 1,1-dichloroethene was stripped isothermally from the solution at a know gas flow rate. The Henry's law constant was calculated fromthe log of the concentration versus time plot.
