<method>The solubility determination was carried out in small test tubes (e.g. 100 x 12 mm) to permit vigorous shaking of the solvent and solute mixtures. During the experiment, 0.20 mL 1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane was added to 3.0 mL of water and agitated concentration of 1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane in water was analyzed by passing the sample through a chromatographic column.</method>
